Snapjaw Windshell / Miella Lightwing / Kunvie Firewing
Welcome to another boss farming thread. The three bosses above drop some decent caster items that aren't very common. So far, each one can net me a decent 30k or more. But the other great thing about these runs is that you'll be fighting dragons, which drop scales that are currently worth good $$.
For those that read my Jayne Forestlight farming tips, rest assured these runs are a walk in the park comparatively. Videos accompany each one to show you how it's done if you can't imagine it . You'll need xvid codec to view them.
Snapjaw Windshell - Drops Snapjaw's Powerstone
Build: W/Mo - Sentinel's Armor
Strength 14 (Major or Sup Strength Rune)
Swordsmanship meet req. at minimum
Healing Prayers 9 or 10
Tactics whatever's left
Sever Artery
Silverwing Slash
Quivering Blade or Dragon Slash
Tiger Stance
Dolyak Signet
Watch Yourself
Live Vicariously
Sprint
Exit from Cavalon on the southern side. The location you want to get to is here:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/4/4a/...p_location.jpg
You can pretty much sprint the entire way. Creeping carps have a nasty habit of following you for very long distances, but if you keep running and ignore them, they'll eventually go back. Snapjaw's group consists of rockhide dragons and saltspray dragons. There is also a carp/scuttle fish/jellfish patrol - do not aggro this group.
Cast live vicariously, then pull out your long/flat bow. Aim for the closest monster in snapjaw's group. Before the arrow hits, make a 180, and run back the way you came. Stop when you are directly underneath the bridge (you should still be standing in corals). You must do this or else you will be chain galed and unable to get out of the patrol's aggro. Immediately hit Dolyak's Signet, and wait for the dragons to come to you. Once they do, start swinging away, killing the rockhides, then snapjaw, and finally the saltsprays. Keep tiger stance and dolyak up as much as possible. Even though you'll be taking a lot of damage, live vicariously should keep your health fairly stable as long as you keep hitting something.
Note - A W/Me build with elemental resistance also works here. However, the nice thing about the W/Mo version is that you dont have to pause to hit heal sig, so the run is actually much faster overall.

Miella Lightwing - Drops Miella's Focus
Build: W/Me - Sentinel's Armor
Strength 14 (Major or Sup Strength Rune)
Swords Meet Req
Tactics 10
Inspiration >= 6
Sever Artery
Silverwing Slash
Quivering Blade or Dragon Slash
Elemental Resistance
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Heal Sig
Spirit Shackles
Exit out of Unwaking Waters (Luxon Side) and make your way to the right the rez shrine. The group is roughly located here:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/7/71/...p_location.jpg
Hug the right side, and you'll come across a patrol of scuttle/carp/jellyfish. Leave them alone. Off in the distance is Miella's group, which will eventually make its way to where you are. There is also a group of 2 Saltspray dragons. Get out your bow and pull them back the way you came. Kill them. With Elemental Resistance + dolyak + watch youself + sentinel's, you should be seeing a lot of 1s and 0s.
Do the same thing with Miella's group after they come to your spot. Here's where things can get a little tricky. I found the best way to do this is to kill the other stuff first, then the boss. Overall, you can overpower her heals, but sometimes you may need to move around a bit in order to the pull things out of her casting range. Sometimes you can pull the whole group back to the rez shrine. If you have more Kurzick faction, then the npcs won't engage, but the priest will heal you, so you dont need to stop and heal sig, allowing you to attack more. See the video to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Kunvie Firewing - Drops Kunvie's Air Staff
Build: W/Me - Sentinel's Armor
Strength 14
Swords Meet Req at minimum
Tactics >= 10
Inspiration >= 1 (elemental resistance lasts a while even at 1 insp)
Sever Artery
Silverwing Slash
Quivering Blade or Dragon Slash
Elemental Resistance
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Heal Sig
Sprint
Exit out of Harvest Temple. Those familiar with bosses in this area know that the run to get the bosses is the toughest part. Some prefer the method of dying, and rezing at the shrine ahead, but this depends on your alliance faction and who controls the outpost, which isn't 100% reliable. The biggest problem you'll probably encounter is debilitating shot from the shiroken rangers, which zaps your energy so you can't sprint away.
The solution? Use an armor swap with the gladiator's chest piece. Wait until sprint comes back up, and if you find yourself at 0 or 1 energy, swap to that piece, hit sprint, then swap back and you should be home free. Kunvie is located here (pretty close to where Rajazan is):
http://gw.gamewikis.org/images/f/f6/...g_Location.jpg
See the video for my run. I didn't have to use armor swap in this case, but I was prepared to just in case. I'm going to assume that you've already made it past the last shiroken group.
At this point, start hugging the right now and do not deviate. Go past Kunview's group until you're fairly close to the top border, but take care not to aggro the kracken patrol that goes by back and forth. You should see a group of 3 carps that come from the left side toward the top. They will move down and they will hit you aggro bubble, so you'll have to kill them. Make sure to stay on the right edge so you avoid the kracken patrol while fighting. This is by far the boringest part, since you do almost no damage with siphon strength hexed on you, so you'll have to rely on the degen from sever to kill them. Keep dolyak's and watch yourself up, and heal sig often, and do not use elemental resistance.
After they are dead, get out your bow and pull kunvie's group to the EXACT location where you killed the carps. Be sure your aggro bubble is as close to the right side edge as possible and let the dragons come to you in melee range. Do this by walking foward a little until they are just outside your aggro bubble, then walk back. They will use Ride the Lightning and be right on top of you.
From here, it's simply keep elemental resistance, dolyak, and watch yourself up, heal sig as needed, and kill stuff.

Thanks for reading and happy farming.

Question, when you said "sentinel's armor" Do you mean the whole set or just chest and legging pieces?

This doesnt work on Miella (anymore!?)
"overpower" the healing ? forget it - as soon as her guardian is up u have no chance and spirit shackles doenst stop her for very long
besides that u still have to heal urself alot because the damage is still pretty much even on sentinel
modified it with "defy pain" and backfire, that works pretty quicker on the other 4 dragons but still not near enough to kill miella...
maybe some1 finds somethin else....

Miella can be farmed using a Touch Ranger and cowering by the Luxon Priest. Check the R/N thread and the end of page 9 for more details.
Tbh if you can get a clear space Kunvie wouldn't be too hard, its all spike damage with the exception of Breath of Fire which can be dodged. Inferno (which hits my ranger for a nice 216ish) can be too if you move.

This build absolutely still works. Don't believe me? See the screenshots below. Look at my shield, which says the reduced damage vs. phsyical only, so you know its after the update.
You are correct in saying that actually overpowering the heals is difficult. The trick is actually to get the enemies out of its healing range, but still within range so that it (Miella) can attack you. Take a look at the first screenshot, it shows you an example spot where this can happen. Also, if you read my original post, I said

As for the armor, I'm talking about full sentinel's armor. With changes recently to knights and shields, you'll need to spam heal sig more, but this farm, and all the ones I've listed are all still doable with the same build. Of course, feel free to take the blessing from the shrine priest if you want make things go a little faster.

it was a mistake of his, he meant harvest temple. if you would have viewed the screenshot below, you would have noticed that he started from harvest. he also explained the rez shrine option and how to get past shiro'ken rangers, which arent located at the unwaking waters exit. therefore, it can only be a mistake while typing.

warrior solo builds made pre-armor/arbsoprtion rune nerf got a lot harder after the nerf....I'd be curious about what those people who successfully ran this farm (powerstone) before the nerf think of it now, if it's much harder or not.

Pretty good. Managed to kill Snapjaw after a bit of trial and error. I also changed the build a bit, to allow more room for error:
Strength to 16, Swords 10, and healing prayers 9.
Took out Watch Yourself, put Vig Spirit in.
Basically, it allows people with a, uh, slower connection to kill him without exploding due to lag while Dolyak's ready to be used again (that 1 second can be lethal if you lag -right- at that point).
Next victim, Miella!
